How Are Stem Cells Administered?

Stem cells are administered several ways depending on each patient’s ailment and physical condition.

Patients typically receive a minimum of 3 stem cell applications during the course of an entire treatment protocol. Methods of administration include: Intravenous (IV), intramuscular, intrathecal, and intra-articular.

Intravenous (IV)

The safest and simplest method for delivering the stem cell throughout the body. Anesthesia is not required. IV administration usually takes about 20 – 30 minutes.

Intramuscular (IM)

The stem cells are injected directly into the muscle. Intramuscular implantation is very safe and does not require anesthesia.

Intra-articular (IA)

The stem cells are injected directly into the affected joint by a licensed physician. This method is commonly used for arthritis. Intra-articular implantation is quite safe and does not usually require anesthesia.

Intrathecal

Intrathecal administration is ideal for certain neurological conditions because the stem cells are injected directly into the spinal fluid past the blood-brain barrier. This enables them to reach the spinal cord and brain.*

The most used practices are:

Intramuscular (IM Injection  is the most common method and used around the world. The stem cells are injected directly in the affected area for maximum pain relief. This treatment is highly effective towards joint pain.

Intravenous (IV) – IV Therapy: Unlike the injection method, IV treatment utilizes stem cell infusion so that the stem cells can spread across the body and cover a wide range, rather than only needing to affect one area. This method is being practiced around the world.

Topically?

The future of Stem Cells points of into the direction of mass adoption of traditional stem cell therapies as well as new innovations.

Research is showing us that manufactures are starting to find ways in which they can use components of the placenta, umbilical cords, amniotic fluid and other components to generate a large variety of products.

These products have been geared to wound care, ulcers, skin rashes, anti aging, open wounds.
